Motorcyclist still ‘critical’ after A399 collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision involving a motorcycle, two cyclists and a Jaguar X-Type near Combe Martin.

A motorcyclist remains in a ‘critical’ condition today (Monday) after a collision involving a motorcycle, two cyclists and a car on the A399 yesterday (Sunday).

The crash occurred in Long Lane, around two miles north of the A39 junction at Blackmoor Gate, at around 11.15am.

The 37-year-old man, from South Molton, was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

Police said he suffered ‘very serious’ head and pelvic injuries and remains in a critical condition.

Two male cyclists from Combe Martin sustained minor injuries, and the driver of the Jaguar X-Type car and his passenger were both uninjured.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage, as they continue their investigations.
