Success for first ever Bideford Bike Show.

THE organisers of Bideford Bike Show have presented cheques totalling £2,000 to two their two chosen charities.

The event on May 31 saw around 1,000 bikes pack onto Bideford Quay raising £1,000 each for Help for Heroes and Devon Freewheelers.

Organiser Lisa Elston said: ““By 12.45 the car park, pavements and the entire Quay were completely packed, and that wasn’t even an hour in.“At one point I just stood there with my hand over my mouth, I couldn’t believe how many people were there.

“Some people came from as far as Essex, Sussex and County Durham. After this year’s success I think we are good to go for next year.”

The organisers asked to thank all the volunteers who helped on the day and said they hoped for a bigger and even more successful show next year.
