Big event will be held in Bideford on September 13 with the theme of cartoons.

BIDEFORD is gearing up for its annual carnival, with colourful floats and costumes being prepared around the theme of cartoons.

This year’s carnival queen was chosen as Khloe Taylor, 11, with attendants Jasmine Short, 13 and Dallas Gown, 13.

The carnival princess will be Leah Greenwood, six, and the flower girl is Brooklyn Cole, six.

Entry forms are now available for the event, on September 13, from Morrison’s customer service desk or Radford’s newsagents on the Quay.
