Torridge District Council have served notice on a group of travellers in Bideford.

The group of travellers arrived at the cattle market site in Bideford on Monday evening, less than 48 hours after councillors voted not to designate it a tolerated trespass site.

The council has been struggling to find suitable designated sites for travellers, having made several U-turns in the past 12 months.
