Model railway show raised £2,000 to help disadvantaged young peole at Ugandan charity project.
A model railway show organised by two Bideford shops has raised £2,000 to help vulnerable young people in Uganda.
Osborns Models and Shady Lane Models held the event in Bideford Pannier Market in aid of North Devon charity Amigos.
Phil Pugsley, Amigos CEO, said: “This £2,000 will train 75 rural mums gain important farming skills, enabling them to grow enough food to feed their families and have surplus to sell, to pay for essentials such as medicine and their children’s school fees.”
