Umberleigh’s Exmoor enthusiast has organised another sponsored walk for the Chemo Appeal.
WELL-KNOWN Exmoor enthusiast and wildlife walker Ivan Huxtable has organised a second 10 mile sponsored walk for the Chemotherapy Appeal.
It takes place around Hawkridge and Dulverton on Sunday, September 28 and will take in the magnificent views over the moor and the River Barle Valley.
“I took part in Ivan’s first Exmoor walk for the Chemotherapy Appeal and it was the most fantastic and interesting walk I have ever joined,” said fundraiser Julie Whitton.
“Ivan has so much knowledge about the moor. The views were amazing and we saw so much wildlife including red deer, Exmoor ponies, birds of prey and much more. It was a wonderful day and there was so much to see.”
This year, the walk will start and finish at Hinam Farm, with an opportunity for home cooked stew and dumplings at the finish, with tea and cakes available.
Ivan, from Umberleigh, has organised numerous events over the years and raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for local charities.
His walks are extremely popular and the Chemo Appeal fundraising team is expecting a sell out.
