Be Barnstaple Carnival Queen for a day

09:38 05 June 2014

Still time to make your bid to become royalty in this year’s Barnstaple Carnival.

There is still time for girls who would like to be this year’s Barnstaple Carnival Queen - or a princess – to submit their royal applications.

The choosing will be at Barnstaple Hotel on July 12. The age limit for the queen is 14-18, and six to 10 for the princesses.

To enter, simply send a letter with your name and contact details, saying in approximately 50 words why you should be chosen, together with a recent photograph. Younger girls will need parental permission.

Successful royals need to be available for Barnstaple Carnival on September 20, as well as other carnivals in the area.

Email entries to Andy Shiner at andyshiner1@btinternet.com or Hazel Masters at ernandhaz@gmail.com. Alternatively post to: Andy Shiner, 21 Mount Pleasant, Bishops Tawton, EX32 0AQ.
