All are welcome to join a huge gathering at Barnstaple Pannier Market for the next annual Pentecost Festival on Sunday, May 20.

Organiser Churches Together Barnstaple says the event is not just for Christians and wants to invite the whole community to go along.

Last year, around 800 Christians from around Barnstaple attended the event to hear an inspiring message, worship and celebrate together.

The service starts at 11.15am and from 1-3pm there will be a bring-and-share lunch, with people invited to bring a picnic or food along.

Teas and coffees will be available through the day, plus there will be stalls, exhibitors and open worship, with the chance to go along and see what is happening in the community.

Plus there will be a live band, sermon, children’s crèche and Sunday school.

During the service, there will also be a crèche and a children’s workshops, live worship, prayer time and live baptisms.

If you have anyone in your church who you would like to baptise at Pentecost, or wish to be baptised, please email
