The 39-year-old will appear at Exeter Crown Court at the end of the month charged with six offences.
A BARNSTAPLE man appeared in court today (Friday) charged with six offences related to burglaries at the Royal and Fortescue Hotel.
Michael Cloak, 39, of Victoria Road, was charged with three counts of burglary in which an iPod, iPad, DAB radio, car keys, laptop, mobile phone and vehicle keys were taken from three separate rooms.
North Devon Magistrate’s court heard he was also charged with damaging the lock and frame of two different rooms and one charge of entering a room with intent to steal.
The offences were all alleged to have taken place between November 1 and November 4.
Magistrates deemed the case was too serious to be heard there and sent it to Exeter Crown Court where Cloak will appear on January 31.
