A Barnstaple hairdresser has won silver in a national hairdressing competition.
Kelly Folland, 37, from Landkey, won second place in the ‘ladies fashion look, cut and finish’ in the National Hairdressers Foundation Britain’s Best 2017.
Kelly, who has been hairdressing for 18 years, travelled to Birmingham for the contest on November 19.
She said: “I was just really excited to be part it; this is the third year I have competed and two years ago I won second in the bridal category.
“It was lots of fun and it’s great to be around such so many professionals, you pick lots of things up.
“My model, Jordan Shurety, is a newly qualified stylist and I was so pleased I could give her that experience and she’s excited to go herself next year.
“It’s great to be able to inspire young people and I really enjoy that part of it.”
Kelly runs her own business, K.F.H, working from The Garden Rooms in Landkey.
