Paul McCaffrey and Mike Cox will be on stage at The Cedars for Barnstaple Comedy Club on Friday, compered by Barnstaple comedian Luke Honnoraty.

Barnstaple Comedy Club will be bringing the laughs on Friday at The Cedars Inn.

Paul McCaffrey, of BBC Three’s Impractical Jokers, will be headlining, with support from South Coast Comedian of the Year Mike Cox.

The comedy night, which kicks off at 8pm, is compered by Barnstaple comedian Luke Honnoraty.

The Comedy Club has enjoyed a growing success under Luke’s quick-witted guidance.

Luke found his place on the stage after winning South West New Act of the Year in 2010 at the Barnstaple comedy club formerly run by Wendy May.

Luke, who heads up sales for Panoptic Motion when he’s not performing, said: “After that I had about 11 gigs throughout 2011 and felt like it was going nowhere with no place in North Devon for me to practice new material and learn the craft.

“In December 2011 I launched Comedy on The Strand, this night was at the Old Bus Station Café on the Strand, previously the Riverside.

“It was a success from the word go and I was able to bring acts from all over the country down, including Seann Walsh, Romesh Ranganathan, Joel Dommett and More, packing the venue most months with over 100 people.

“The night grew bigger, moving home around Barnstaple a few times with its final home now The Cedars Inn.”

The monthly night brings in around 2-300 people each time, with some regulars still returning month-after-month since 2011.

Entry to Friday’s show is £10 on the door, or £8 in advance from
