Accident blocks road in Bickington

Driver taken to hospital for ‘precautionary check up’.
A MAN has been taken to hospital this morning following a crash on the Bickington Road in Barnstaple.
The two car collision occurred around 8.20am outside the Old Barn Inn and involved an orange Honda civic and a blue Volkswagon jetta.
One witness said the road was initially blocked but members of the public towed the Honda out of the road to clear it.
Police and an ambulance attended the scene and the driver of the Honda was taken to North Devon District Hospital for a precautionary check up.
