Barnstaple Nationwide staff donned superhero costume for charity.

NATIONWIDE building society staff stepped to it to raise a super amount of money for Children’s Hospice South West on Friday.

Workers at the Barnstaple High Street branch donned superhero costumes and took it in turns to use a step machine to ‘walk’ 3.7 miles – equivalent distance from the branch to the charity’s Little Bridge House hospice in Fremington.

They sold home-baked cakes to customers and held a tombola, efforts that raised £151 for the hospice.
