The sun shone and between 2,500 and 3,000 people turned up with their treasures to keep more than two dozen antiques experts busy throughout the day.

Carried patiently by queues of proud owners were everything from silver to surfboards, from local Brannam pottery and the funnel of a local steam engine to quirky and beautiful items from countries around the world.

Series presenter Fiona Bruce was kept busy signing autographs, chatting and being photographed with fans and everyone basked in the bonus sunshine.

The Antiques Roadshow series is due for screening starting in late autumn and running into the New Year.
