HOMES, cafes, schools, halls and businesses in North Devon all did their part on Friday to support the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan.

Events on or around the day saw volunteers, business staff and school children serving coffee to the public – often accompanied by a home made cake or two - in return for a donation.

Pupils, parents and staff at Ilfracombe Junior School raised £422.65, while Ilfracombe Indoor Market held a ‘10 per cent day’, with traders providing cakes and home-made cookies.

Residents at Westward sheltered housing schemes in Ethelwynne Brown Close and Chubb Churchill at Bideford plus Griggs Close in Northam raised £494.60 between them.
