03/03/2010, 7:55 PM Sidmouth Seagull Joined on 16/02/2010 Seafront promenade Posts 313 Buzzwords Have you noticed the new "buzzwords" ... signpost you in, keep me in the loop, brainstorming session.  Who thinks them up and why? I now wait to spot them, they come from the media especially on Radio 4 when somebody is being interviewed. I am going to think "outside of the box" and do some "blue sky thinking"  on why we have these buzzwords. "Sidmouth Seagull" @ the top of lampost along the promenade!!! Sidmouth East Devon    Report

Hard Working People or today I'm a Lazy Lie About!   It is people coming from Univercity who want to make them sound clever, really cool, Blue Sky Thinking (horrid) Think Outisde the Box (what Box) They then sound so dated.  Then we have a new lot. MP's don't write their own speaches.  A few years ago everything was "absolutely" Mind you if you think of P.G. Woodhouse, with his words like Dash Ho perhaps every generation has them! The one that amuses me is, " we will park that and come back to it later" and they don't mean cars. Interestingly enough the Americans have an excellent phrase for this type of language which I will gladly email to anyone who asks but I can't put it in this forum.    Report

If you can admit you make mistakes, learn from them, no one looses jobs and realatives are still furious and angry at their bad treatment or whatever. It is spin and spin and tells you nothing.   If you are really clever likes banks, you still get bailed out and paid a bonus! "Sidmouth Seagull" @ the top of lampost along the promenade!!! I think that Sidmouth should have a Superdrug.  I have flown to Exeter today and  it would give Boots a bit of Competition. I have found another record shop, there is Martian Record, Opus (Classical) in the Guildhall Centre, Fopp and HMV.  At Taunton they have two independent record shops.  Cheapest on price dare I say was Sainsbury's for what I wanted Goldfrapp and Forever Vienna. Getting back to Buzzwords now when my other half seagull is in a meeting, he now says "what does that mean" in a meeting, me being a part time "underling" (or very little importance) if I said that they would probably think where is the "Dunces" hat for SS.   I am now sick of Lobbyists, are they not like Bart Simpson, go on and on until they get what they want, or like seagulls squawk and squawk.... but not this one because it is well behaved. If you look at the cliffs there is quite a crack opening up, high up, with this rain......  the weather forecast for Easter is not too good.  When are we going to have some warm weather?
