As far as I know, Archant don't have a foot in the larger centres, so these Forums exclude Plymouth and Exeter and Torbay. It would be interesting to get the views of the larger population, there would be a wider political base, typical of urban, more "leftist" centres , sadly lacking in perpetually tory East Devon!!    Report

As far as I am concerned ( born in a Council house, and a Labour voter for many years ), the majority population in this country have been  sacrificed and betrayed , simply to further those very same leftist policies.  You live in a" bubble" in the South-West, and if you now visit our once great cities and large towns elsewhere, or read the daily papers, and don't feel utter despair,  -- you're a better man than me ! By the way, I am under no illusion that the " other bunch" are any better, and are capable of even arresting ( never mind reversing ) the slide into the dilution and degeneration of our once great society and country. As for me, ( a proud English man ), I have given up the academic struggle now, and wouldn't even walk across the road to vote for any of them ! All the best--David    Report
