Classmates-1958-1962 (Exmouth Sec.School for Boys) - Classes 1c to 4c!.

Hi again!!.

It would be so nice to be able to chat to old Classmates who attended the old Exmouth Secondary Modern School for Boys, in Withycombe between the years 1958 to 1962, having attended the Classes 1c to 4c.

Teachers: 1c: Wilson, 2c: Hurdley, 3c: Coombes, 4c: Mahon or McMahon.

Some of the old Classmates I remember, but we were a big class of about 30 boys and it IS quite a time ago!!.

Boys: John Davey (Budleigh), Andrew Pym (Budleigh), Terrence Ward (Woodbury), Peter Webb (Littleham), Martin Parkhouse (Exmouth), Andrew Thomas (Littleham), Roy Thomas (Sandy Bay, Littleham), Robert Murch (Littleham), Alan Heavens (Woodbury), John Wreaford (Exmouth), Kelvin Thompson (Littleham). Terence Street (Exmouth), Vernon Winterage (or Winteridge - Exmouth), Michael Beckett (Exmouth), Kenneth Kite (Exmouth), Michael Rosevear (Exmouth), Terence Hill (Woodbury) Ian Scott (Exmouth), Terry Marks (Woodbury), John Minnett (Budleigh), John Huggett (Littleham).

Sadly, I dont remember anymore, but some boys went from the 'C' stream to the 'A and B' stream. It would be really cool if readers of this topic could add some more names of the boys, if they could remember!!.

Hi Rob, it's been a long time since I heard from anyone at school. My name is Mike Crooks and I was with you at the Beacon and the Secondary. Most of the names you mention I remember but it's been a long time! Colin Gilbert, Terry Collins and Gay Meadows are a couple more but that's about it for me. MY NAME IS JIM NASH FROM EXMOUTH I WENT TO THE BEACON AND SEC MOD SCHOOL AS WELL BUT WAS IN THE LOWEST STREAM POSSIBLE,

MY CLASS MATES WERE IVOR PITMAN, REG NEEDS, RAYMOND STURMAN, NIGAL SMETH, TREVOR HAWKINS, JOHN ATKINS,

CARL THOMAS, MIKE BICKLEY, FORM MASTER WAS MR. DENEIR REALLY NICE CHAP. BEVEN LATER TAUGHT US HE WAS A REALLY GOOD CHAP, DID LOTS OF MOUTAIN CLIMBING

MY CLASS MATE AT THE BEACON WERE ROBERT MURCH, JOSOPHINE BOVEY, HAZEL ........., BRUNELL, IVOR PITMAN,

FORM MASTER AT THE PRIMARY SCHOOL WAS TREVOR NUNN.

OTHER TEACHERS WERE MISS PERROT, MISS KEPP, MRS GOLDSMITH, MISS GILLARD, HEAD NIGAL WIDGERY AND DEAR OLD MRS BAMSEY MUST HAVE BEEN IN HER LATE 70'S

CONSIDERING I WAS SUCH A THICKY I DIDNT TOO TO BADLY AFTER LEAVING SCHOOL, WORKING AS AN ELECTRONICS ENGINEER FOR OVER 40 YEARS NOW.

HOPE YOU FIND OUT MORE IT HARD SOME TIMES TO REMEMBER

Are the one from the green in Exmouth?

I have never been on this site before but my son picked it up and emailed me so here i am.

I am living and working in Exeter so have not gone far away from home unlike you as i believe you are living in germany and what are you doing there ?

I am married and have been for 30 years to my second wife and we are running a block of flats all elderly but the must be able to look after themselves we are like hotel managers and get the windows cleaned the garden done and the corridoors cleaned etc we call a gp if they are to ill to do it.
